The Yes. PYL XTRM Snowboard is the ultimate tool for riders chasing deep powder and high-consequence lines, combining hybrid construction with a powerful big mountain profile. Its coreless tail design sinks effortlessly in the deep stuff while maintaining the stiffness and response you need for serious descents. The Tapered UnderBite edge profile delivers unmatched float and directional control, locking in carves even on variable terrain. Built to charge hard and ride fast, this board is made for those who live for the extremes.
FLEX 8/10
Shape: Directional
A directional snowboard is purposefully shaped for optimal performance in one primary direction, typically with a longer and more pointed nose compared to the tail. This design enhances stability, control, and float in varied conditions, making it particularly well-suited for carving, powder riding, and all-mountain exploration. The asymmetry aids natural turn initiation and provides a more dynamic riding experience when cruising downhill. Suited for riders who prefer a specific orientation for various terrains, a directional snowboard excels in responsiveness, offering a smooth and predictable ride that complements the nuances of specific riding styles and conditions.
Profile: CamRock 1-4-2
Camrocker boards have a profile where the center of the board is closer to the snow, and the nose and tail are raised.
Enhances float in powder, makes turn initiation easier, and is generally more forgiving.
May sacrifice some edge hold and stability compared to traditional camber.
1. Sintered
YES Snowboards' sintered bases are crafted by fusing tiny polyethylene particles under heat and pressure, creating a porous, durable surface. Known for superior speed and wax absorption, these bases are favored by advanced riders for their high-performance capabilities in various snow conditions.
2. Full Poplar
Poplar is known for its combination of lightweight and strength, providing a good balance for the core. Its lightweight nature contributes to the overall reduced weight of the snowboard.
Additionally, poplar offers a consistent and predictable flex pattern, enhancing the board's responsiveness.
The wood's durability ensures the core can withstand the stresses of riding while maintaining a desirable flex. Overall, poplar wood helps create snowboards that are lightweight, durable, and responsive, catering to a broad range of riders.
3. TRIAX
Triaxial or "Triax" fiberglass on a snowboard refers to a fiberglass construction where the fibers run in three directions—usually along the length and width of the board and at an angle. This configuration adds torsional stiffness to the board, enhancing its overall stability and responsiveness. Snowboards with triaxial fiberglass tend to have a more precise and controlled feel, making them suitable for riders who prioritize stability at higher speeds, improved edge hold, and better performance in challenging conditions. Triax fiber is often found in snowboards designed for advanced and aggressive riding styles.
FOREVER FLEX
Forever Flex is a manufacturing process that helps stabilize the flex and rocker profile of a board for its lifetime. Our boards now finish the first stages of production slightly overbuilt and then we “break them in” using a specialized machinery that mimics extreme riding use. By flexing the fresh board fibers and epoxy at the factory the materials settle into their final arrangement within the board layup much the same as if you rode the board for 20 days. This process helps us narrow our production tolerances so the board you buy has a more accurate specified flex and rocker profile that will change less as you ride it more.
